thx for the reply, the retail price on the e5's on shure.com is $550, and its $499 for the shure e500's.

Just got some from Flavio at Earphone Solutions. $500 plus a free pair of AKG27is. Labor Day special. The only problem is that I got the last pair of e500s and they are out of stock but they will honor the special if you don't mind waiting a bit. Call or order online before tomorrow if you want to have the special.

There's some minimum advertised price silliness that prevents authorized vendors from publishing a price below list. Current price at most places (such as Headroom) seems to be $399.95 now. Everyone's currently out of stock though.

Just bought my pair from a fellow head-fier for, wait for it ... $330 and shipped, brand new in the box, shrinkwrapped.

oh yeah, im feelin fine. although i really couldnt afford it, i still got a good price so im cheering.

will i like them when they arrive ?

$330 is a good price for the E500s. I hadn't realized they'd dropped so low already.
