Based on everything I've read here, the UM2 is generally considered to have slightly better highs than the E5c. I've only heard the UM2 and cannot make a direct comparison between the two, but those who have heard both claim it's a slight difference (by no means night and day).

Not sure about UM2 vs. E4c, but without even hearing the E4c I'd bet my next paycheck that the UM2 has more bass. The reason for this is because most impressions have indicated that E4c has less bass than the E5c, and the E5c and UM2 are supposed to sound fairly similar with the UM2 having slightly better treble. I think that by nature, the UM2's dual-driver construction will allow it to have more palpable bass than most other canalphones that do not feature dual drivers.
