I auditioned the e4c at the NYC Home Entertainment Expo this past weekend. My test rig was an iPod 4G, 256 vbr mp3 files, through a Xin SuperMacro-3 (with opa627 amps)

I actually prefered the e4c to the e5c (the latter didn't fit my ears welll).

Comfort, fit and finish on the e4c was great (I tried the foamies), somewhat less noise attenuation than my ER-4p phones.

The e4c seemed very musical. If I didn't already have the ER-4p, I'd certainly consider this one.

Wonder how these compare with the $250 Super.fis. MAN! the CONFUSION. A reasonably priced dual driver canalphone... and from UE too

Yeah, I can't wait for a review of super.fi's....I was just about ordering the Um2 when I heard of these..I guess I'll have to wait for reviews and teh i'll decide between um2-Ue's

Yeah, forget the battle between the Etymotic er6i and Shure e3c. The real war is going to be E4c versus the super.fis.
