not sure if this is supposed to be diy or headphones but for some reason my shure cable keeps on getting cut internally so i decided to rewire the whole thing

Could you please elaborate on the "getting cut internally"? I'm having a problem right now which I think could be related to the actual wire breaking inside the cable.

well the sound would cut off if i moved the cable a certain way, basically i think the ground and signal wire were shorting inside the cable, this happend twice before and the cord kept on getting shorter, so i thought stuff it and just rewired the whole thing

alright, thanks! I'm currently having that exact problem and handed it in to get it replaced today. If that doesn't work, I might try my hand at rewiring them myself.
