It's dirt cheap, the mobility is very good, and I'd find the built moderately interesting (having had a bit of electrotechnics at university, but no practice whatsoever).

So, is it worth it with my 4G IPod and soon-to-come Super.fi 5. Pro?

Yes, Yes, YES!!!

If you are going to find it interesting and fun, the outlay on parts is minimal, and the results from such an investment can be pretty cool. I say try the Cmoy for practice, and then work up to something more when you've got your hand in!
