These guys for driver tubes:

Anyone have direct experience or feedback on their Woo amps (or other amps)?

They are pricey and not something I would just drop money on w/o some outside opinions.

Overall, it's a very nice tube. Sounded good as the driver tube in my Darkvoice 336SE, and in my Wheatfield HA-2. However, it's NOT as good as the real Mullard CV181/ECC32, and it's not much cheaper. Admittedly, ECC32's have continued to climb in price - a while back I got some nice NOS ones for $150 each - now they seem to sell for more like $250 each, which is kinda nuts. But the Shuguang, while very good, is just not the same.

So is it worth $the current asking price of $275 a pair? IMHO, no. I prefer the $200/pair Brimar CV1988, and frankly even the Tung-Sol tall bottle 6SN7WGT, which are usually less than $100/pair, although kinda hard to find.

Hi guys,
Considering to get a Shuguang Treasure CV181-Z.

Are the tubes sold by http://psvanetube.com any different from those from ebay or other stores?
They say they only sell "select" grade tubes. Anyone got them from ebay and happy? Price diff is quite big.
