Hi,

I got the Philips SHP9500 and I connect it to the PS4 with a simple sound card.

Some sounds I hear very dimmed and low while other very clear and high.

If I connect them directly to a computer its even worse.

While the headphones are great for positional awareness, I didn't think the other sounds will be like that.

Is there a something I can do to fix this?

You may want to purchase a headphone amp or even an integrated amp with plenty of output power to get the most from your Philips headphones. What are you using to connect your headphones to your PS4? are you just connecting them to the DS4 controller? if yes then that might explain why some sounds are quieter than others - it could be because the output power of the headphone output on the controller is not adequate enough to drive the headphones to their full potential. The same logic applies to the headphone output of your computer - perhaps the headphone output of the computer does not have adequate power to drive your headphones to their full potential.

I connect them using a simple USB sound card.

I am not sure that it's an amp missing because some of the sounds are very loud so if I connect an amp maybe I will hear the sounds that I currently don't, but then the sounds that I do will be even louder.

Maybe a dac with an equalizer?
