They each have their own drivers. The D55 isnt that good. IMO the D55 is the budget D77 wich these 2 seem to be "home audio" design. These both have the removable cable. The D66 and D22 have teh smaller 1mm cable extension. These are more for portable use. The D33 and D11 ive never seen.

yeah... they all sound different. D77 is easily the best sounding... great bass extension without sounding bloated, a nice and accurate midrange, and smooth highs that are detailed but not in any way harsh. the D66 is a good all rounder, with a very sweet midrange, but cannot compete with the D77 with bass and treble... bass is there, but it doesn't extend as low as the D77. the treble is not as smooth as the D77, but it's still very nice. the Philippines version has slightly better bass than the Japan version. the D55 has better bass than D66, but is slightly bloated... midrange and treble is not as nice as D66. D22 is an odd sounding headphone; it sounds honky, for a lack of a better word, with bloated bass that has no extension, funny sounding mids, and treble that's not detailed at all... sounds like a sonic mess. D11 is not even worth putting on your ears, it's just there to look good with the rest of the collection.
