I did a search but couldn't find a thread on it, seeing there are lots of threads about showing us this and that. I thought it is time to start one for Bikes, did a search and it turns out quite a few of us are into mountain biking. Hurrah !!! So, don't be shy, go take a pic, post the spec and we can all discuss it here too. I am interested what all of us ride (it doesn't have to be expensive), and any improvements we could do to our bikes. And tips as well, i love to know how to maintain a bike in tip top conditions.

Thinking about getting a computer for it, anyone got any good suggestions. Accurate, easy to set up, and affordable?

Here's mine

for bike computers, look on www.mtbr.com, consumer reviews on pretty much every bike product. I have this one

http://cgi.ebay.com/CatEye-MicroWire...QQcmdZViewItem

it's easy to set up and works great, but i don't use it much though, waste of money i guess. Though it's pretty cool to know how far i've travelled and how fast i'm going.

I wanted hydro brakes for my bike for some time, but i think i'll stick to my avid mechs, they're just so easy to maintain and works plenty well. I retune mine often and they feel 10 times better than my friends hayes!

2006 Specialized Hardrock Sport. I got it in January and enjoyed riding it to classes, but haven't found much time to ride since I moved to TX.

Wow, you guys sure have some nice rides.

'06 Rockhopper

It's a horse, and it's fun for (moderate) DH, but boy is it heavy. The movers destroyed my joy: Trek 6000 rigid, totally stripped down and built up light

There kinda was a thread, but it wasn't labelled a pic thread:

http://www6.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=189876

Anyways, since we have a new thread...

Here's my bike:

Seriously old school these days, a 95 Kilauea, which I've had since new (when I was 13!). Rebuilt and resprayed in 2001 with a few changes since then. Just replaced the rear tyre with something that a)isn't knackered, and b) is more suitable for Aussie conditions- the Michelin Hot S is awesome for English conditions, but a bit too agressive for the hard dirt tracks here. So I just got a Maxxis Crossmark rear, it rolls along a lot easier.

EDITED: Cos the link didn't work.

Seems like all you guys do mountain biking. I'm a roadie by heart--nothing quite like dodging traffic at 20mph

.

The bike's a 2002 Lemond Tourmalet; has ~4200 miles on it, and is still going strong. Aluminum frame, carbon fiber fork, Ultegra in the rear, 105 in the front.
