That black thingy is the U2 30GB iPod Classic (came in black with the red dial and the bands signatures etched on the back plate of the Pod, no Mod just facts) and it resides in that nice black Yo-Tank

Aha, limited U2 iPod, I remember those, they were pricey and probably still are.
