It’s just crazy to me just how good the electronics are in this cheap chi-fi DAP, Model X-11 from a company that looks like they call themselves Sino-Hello! Anyway these Nobles sound incredible on this $18 player

Not so high end: JVC HA-FX850 & TEAC HA-P50. My trusty setup & travel companion for a lot of years. Amazed that they still work, given the abuse that they have had (from tropical thunderstorms to snow and ice) . I do love them for their bass and timbre. But will upgrade this year.

Woodies were/are exceptionally good! The JVC HA-FX Woody line was a real sleeper. I really loved my JVC HA-FX750 Woody and preferred it over any of my other IEMs and CIEMs. The airy sparkle and natural timbre was sublime. Be prepared you'll have a very hard time replacing that sound sig when the time comes... yes, it was/is that unique.

I totally agree! There is nothing that even comes close to that signature,they are so much fun!
So I'm not going to find something similar. At the moment the Hiby Rs6 + kinera nanna 2.0 or thieaudio monarch mkII are on the top of my list.
