Battery pack is an eight cell, AA NiHM.

Here's my unfinished $3 CMoy I just need the opamp and rail splitter to complete the circuit... this project has been shelved away for another day.

I could have, but there was no functional reason to do so. There is plenty of room between the back of the board and the battery pack.
Also, area that looks like wasted space now is room for an on board charger later...

Very clean execution, Avro.

It looks like you could have shifted some of the components over to the side above the text to shorten the board?

My first DIY amp
not really a Cmoy
and by mistake i took 1K resistors instead of 100k, so the input filter is shorted
also, need to check dc output voltage, multimeter should arrive soon
except that seems to work.
tested with sony x10 mini and grado sr80
its quite noisy on low input volume. wonder if its the source's fault since there is no noise if i just short all the inputs to the ground

ground circuit: 2x220k resistors + opamp
L/R channels: in -> LPF -> opamp as buffer -> opamp as x5 amp ->out (2 dual opamps, 1 for each channel)
