I have no portable setup. I keep thinking about getting some sort of DAP then I realize I don't want to spend that much money for something that I can't see myself using often at all.

how much do you think i have to spend to have a decent portable setup?

i have hd 580 on the way and i already have an ipod, but wat about thoose linein-line out stuff and the amplifiers?

I don't really know how the 580's would do in a portable rig, as they're open and pretty big. Anyway, if you use the line out on your iPod, you'll bypass the internal headphone amp in its hardware. The iPod's headphone amp isn't the greatest, although it isn't the worst either. Still, it's much closer to the worst than the greatest. Anyway, you use the line out to connect to an amp, which will amp the headphones properly.

i like big headphones wrap around my head they just feel secure, imean i'm just not feeling thoose iem's or the design of the px series
