So I have been kind of into the old school gangsta rap scene for a while, but I know that 'real’ Old School rap was happening way earlier. I really like the Wild Style movie soundtrack, and want some more stuff along the lines of that.

Any recommendations? Thanks.

Look around for the two albums by UTFO (particularly the first) -- Roxanne, Roxanne!

. I used to love old-school rap back in the 80s, these days I really don't listen to it (much). Old Run-DMC is pretty great stuff too.

That looks pretty interesting. Normally I am not so into collections but it sounds like alot of old school rappers' releases were predominantly singles.

And thanks to everone else for the suggestions as well.
