Hi,

i bought my iBasso IT01 3/4 years back, and the cable broke on my a few days ago, now it mostly doesn't work on the left ear anymore. I could buy a new cable for 25 pounds, or maybe i could spend up to 100 pounds for a new pair.

the question is, within the last 3/4 years since i bought my IEMs, was there significant improvements in IEM tech that warrants me buying a new IEM when i'm perfectly content with my ones at the moment? If there isn't much improvements in the tech, i think i'll just buy a replacement pair of MMCX cable...

I listen to alot of nina simone, queen, soul, and free jazz, and not alot of bass-y stuff

thanks!

It's a tough call, You may want to try, for almost the outlay of a new cable, the KZ x crinacle CRN, the first Electrostatic & Dynamic & Balanced Armature hybrid earphone of KZ. I've got a pair on the way. It's gettting glowing reviews, some have said worth the hype train.
