Have had the same issue with the black connector, sent it back and the manufacturer fixed for me, reluctantly. However, only a few days after receiving it back, the red connector had the same issue too.
Upon close examination, I think the issue is that there just isn't enough sleeve material going inside the connector. I don't know if I want to send it back again if it's an easy fix I can do at home. I tried to insert the sleeve back inside the connector but it wasn't easy as it may look. I don't know. What do you guys think? I've only put 10 hrs on this cable despite almost 2 years of ownership.
