Should I just buy audiophile headphones and ditch monitors?!

Hello!

So after 2 years of consistent moving I've come to the idea that it might be best to sell my monitors for a pair of hd800's along with an headphone amp. Reasons: 1. Monitors are much less portable, especially with all the acoustic panels and traps I have 2. I have to keep adjusting my ears to each room I move to. It's so hard because I absolutely love these monitors (focal cms 65's), but I just think if I really want to get anything done I should use headphones, where the soundstage and imaging is always the same so my perception of sound INCREASES instead of having to readjust to slowly catch up to where I left off in previous house.

Thoughts? Feelings?

You will always get better imaging accuracy and soundstage with speakers. But if you are more of a active people than stationary, I will go for headphones. Just keep in mind that it's very hard to get good imaging with headphones even if it's good, it's still not comparable to speaker.

Hope it helps!
Billson :)
