Ok I have to say that I'm really tempted to buy the new 5.5 gen IMod but the $700 + is making me have serious thoughts about it.

I currently have: Creative Zen Vision M + Qables LOD + Tomahawk + Shure E500.

Do you think I will have a huge improvement in SQ with the 5.5 Imod? Is it worthy the $700 or do you think I have a good enough rig?

I think you would get a noticeable improvement in SQ but I don't think you should get one. That will just increase the wait time for the rest of us.

I haven't tried the Creative Zen, but the iMod is an amazing player.

You have a very good set up. $700 is a lot of cash... it's up to you though.

Have you considered a 4G iMod. Full sound but only half the cost

You can also stick to your Zen Vision M: it has a very good lineout.

I guess so... not worth the risk for me though. But I don't need the last bit of high end sound on the go. I guess that's the real question.

The iMod is nice to have, but an investment in good phones is far more important.
With your Shure E500 you should feel very comfortable.
You have a nice rig and there is no need for a change if you are not completly unhappy with what you hear.
Please remember: when we talk about improvements here on Head-Fi a lot of people claim that the difference between item A and item B is huge but in reality we should talk about subleties IMO.
