I did not have the whole collection, but have heard Petrenko and the RLPO playing Shostakovich's 4th and 5th symphonies, and perhaps I could rank them among the finest rendition of these works (especially the 5). It is even more incredible when you consider how young Petrenko is here. The RLPO, while not well known, is also solid. This could potentially be a really great purchase for anyone interested in a complete set of Shostakovich's symphonies.​

P.S. it is interesting how many young, talented Russian musician is clustering in Britain at the moment, really. ​
