Short Battery Life on the D515?

I recently purchased a D515 discman and noticed the battery life is less than that of my other discmans. Is this normal for the D515? Also is there anyplace to buy the older BP2EX batteries for older discmans? I'd really like to use the d515 for portable use. It sounds fantastic.
