I've noticed when going shopping for PC Speakers that most shops have a very poor-sounding source (some crap Mp3 player), split between a dozen models (God knows what they're using the split the source!), making auditioning quite a challenge.
If you had your own shop, what kind of source would you use; and is there a "line-out splitter"? Most of these speakers already have a built-in amplifier, so I was wondering about the best way to split a source without compromising too much on sound quality.
Personally, I'd use a CDP or laptop/computer with FLAC, but splitting output between a dozen speakers still leaves me clueless.
