Hi i addapted my acs tips made for my shure 535 and westone um3x with some silicone to my sm3 v2 i have to quit and to put the silicone evrytime i quit the headphones and i can't say too much but the sound is WOW... much clearer and detailed sound, much bigger soundstage, bass impact is glorious .the 535 and um3x with this tips can't really compete, my ex1000 are fantastic and better than the 535 and um3x not by small margin but i don't know right now...and im using an ipod classic 120 gb can't imagine when i receive this week the 5 occ cable and my ibasso d4. of course ill get custom tips for my ex1000

So which ate better your ex1000's or sm3v2?

If i compare them both with stock tips i must say ex1000 are superior but now while they are different they are spectacular in their own ways, i need to spend more time with this tips and get the occ cable for the sm3 and wait till get custom tips for the ex1000 then ill do a review.but I can say this tips make the v2 much better.
