My sharp MD33's played great for the first month I had them. Then the right channel started getting weak, and finally quit playing altogether today. Is there a common cause for this? There is no damage to the wires etc.

I really don't feel like sending these back to Japan.

the left channel on my pair had a lower volume than the right for a while, but they're fine now. not sure what fixed them.
