I am considering the purchase of this little device and I have a few questions...

Before i start, i want to MAKE SURE that the DS8 can play whatever I record on my 707.

now for the serious questions...

DO i need a 4 pole set of phones to take full advantage of the 1 bit amp?

how does this thing sound with d66 eggos or some ex71's?

and last but least, anyone know where i can find comparison pics b/w this and the e10, i cant find any.

DR7 + D66 is very tasty indeed. Hardly bassless. DS8 + D66 would be the same, but with a little less power. Of course you can play discs recorded via N707 on the DS8.

. The four pole 'phones aren't as good as the D66. There aren't any others - although if you found a 'phone with removable cables, then you could craft your own four polar one. I think Leon's E10 review has a picture or two with the DS8. It isn't as fat as the picture will make you believe.

so are you saying the dr7 sounds better? or that it can go a little louder?
