Hello,

My Name is Andrew..

I've been browsing the forum for some time now and decided i'd better stop being lazy and get an account =)
Would like to say thank you to all the wonderful people who made it possible for me and many others to find the Sounds that we've been looking for!

Here is some of my gear I've picked up on the exciting, sometimes dangerous, audio Quest

ATH-M50xBL LIMITED EDITION

I Quite enjoy them.

They sometimes catch me off guard on how good they can sound.

The M50x has plenty of bass, but can be a bit muddy at times.
The ATH 45mm driver seems to be quite competitive to many of the 50mm drives I've heard.

And the M50x LE is pretty durable feeling and comfortable too.

I'm jealous of your M50xBL set. I want a pair just for the color scheme, but it seems they go for a decent amount more than just a regular M50x would. Maybe someday I'll pick them up. Would like to see how they compare to the WS99 set I have from Audio Technica.

I'd bet that the WS99 out preform the M50xBL

At least in Bass and over all volume, but probably not clarity.

Now you got me wondering too...

Back from Audio Technica

They are probably very similar to the audio performance of the ATH-PRO700MKII

Maybe I'll just try to paint my WS99's with the same color scheme :p
I can't believe how many people say they are ugly and not a headphone you would want to wear in public. I think the blue and brown is an awesome combo.

Lol there ya go =] but really I'd just wait around for a steal of a deal on the M50x-LE

I'm sure after Xmas there is going to be some good deals popping up on Ebay and Amazon, Exc.

I agree in the Color Combo! I have ZERO problems wearing any of my headphones out in public Especially the M50x-LE
Except for the X2's cause that Dang Cable is so Loooong!
I did take the X2's out on the town, Some people looked at me like I was out of this world

Looks like the X2 is your all star can.

Hey KG Jag If you get a chance to read this.

What would you consider a worthy upgrade from the X2. Preferably in the Sub $1000 Range.

Thanks!

Cans like the HE 500, HE 560, LCD-2 and T-1 come to mind.  You can read about all of them, except the newer HE 560 here:

I was seriously considering the He-400 but research seemed to indicate I'd get
A little more Bang for buck with the X2

The HE 500, HE 560, LCD-2 and T-1 have peaked my interest!
