I'm interested in this as well!

Just tried to ask for experiences with different pads, but only got the recommendation og the phatpad mod, which might be fine but will not be the same as deeper pads as people has experienced with the markl mod versus aftermarked pads.

Also interested in experiences with different cables (equinox maybe?)

Hello,

I have tried blue-tack mod. I forgot, if it was Markl or Fitz mod or someone else, but there was to much bass for me. I am using aka phatpad mod. Both things are easy to try.
I must also add, that my W1000 sounds at its best after a 2 years of use.
