Probably. It's glued to the back, but I don't see why you couldn't pop it off from the back, and put a new battery in.

So wait and see if the FW update is worth it? I forgot how to install it. Time to dig back through this thread. Haha...

Downloading to my MacBook Pro was the longest part... then have Unarchiver (or equiv) unzip, drop onto TF card on the device, run system update. The actual update on the M1 took about 2 min, tops. Downloading to my computer took over 35min...

SO..... Is 2.1 the latest FW update for the M5? If so I put it on there when I first got it.

Yes, 2.1 is the most up to date. Still working out benefits...

Looks like the DOC in the FW RAR says the update fixes the "automatic suspend problems." Could it be that it fixes the shutdown bug that happens when the scroll wheel works even when the screen is off? Because that would be awesome.
 
ETA:
So far so good. Looks like Shanling fixed the bug!
