Date: Saturday 14th October

Time: 10:00 am until ??? (i.e., late)

Location: Larkspur at the top of Skylark Drive

Member Grahame has secured his apartment complex activity room. The venue is located close to 101 (from North / South) and the 580 Richmond Bridge (from the east). This google map location shows the room, which is just southeast of the pool (try zooming out in hybrid mode to get the context):

Top of skylark drive

Details on location and directions will follow in this post or by PM.

The room is approx. 600 sq. ft. There are 6 sockets in three outlets, so some significant power strips will be needed--bring what you can. There are two trestle tables and one low coffee table. There are 14 folding chairs and one couch. I have one sturdy long table and several folding chairs as a supplement and others probably have them as well. If need be, we will rent some tables/chairs. Please PM me or post any folding chairs or tables you can bring so we can make a decision.

There is guest parking within 20 paces of the room, and if more room is required there is additional parking down the street. We will keep an open loading/unloading spot near the room and Grahame has offered to shuttle people to/from additional parking spots if necessary.

Local supermarkets are close by for supplies. Local eateries range from inexpensive to high end. We might organize a dinner trip as we did in Saratoga, or we could order/pick up and eat at the complex.

So, stand up and be counted. The next post will be the attendee and gear lists, so either post in the thread or PM me with your availability (definite or maybe will do) and what you are going to bring. Please be clear with your gear and identify what you will bring in the following categories: phones, amps, sources, cables, miscellany. I will update Post #2 as often as possible, so please be patient.

Tell your Head-Friends and we'll see you all on October 14!

Try This link for the location

Top of skylark drive

EDIT The room SE, not SW of the Pool. Left to right, below pool, its the third.

On my return, I was going to sort out a photo junction-by-junction of the final approach - it can be a bit tricky. More details after the 30th - I'm on vacation until then. out.

EDIT I added directions - including Video Directions in post 56 of this thread here Directions

I'm almost certain I can attend, I'll bring an RS-1, Stello DA100, and hopefully a GS-1.

I can bring my Grado PS-1.

I may also bring a Mapletree Ear+ Purist HD and or HR-2 amp. Not sure about bringing a source.

I got bounced off the 'net last night, so I lost some updates to the gear lists. I think I got it up to date again this morning based upon specific posts in the old thread and the PMs/post received so far. If you have not sent a PM or post on the gear you are bringing, then please do so. I will add x2, x3, etc. for multiples of identical gear.

As usual for Bay Area meets, the gear list is already long but let's make it longer!

Most of my headphones will already be there - I'll bring:

X-cans v.3 with (Telefunken tubes)
Sony XA777ES (modded)
Chang lightspeed CLS-6400 power conditioner (it has 2 digital outlets and 4 analogue).
x2 Supra Lorad Powercords.

Oh and I do have a monster HTS-2000 power strip in the closet. I don't like what it does to the sound though
mad.gif
- I've just been too lazy to sell it. I'll bring it though to help with the limited outlets.

Wish I could bring my VPI Scout w/Dynavector Karat, You'd all be beleivers
tongue.gif
, but it's a pain to set up and I can't take a chance on getting my needle munched ($800 for a new cart.

Thanks for the post, but please bring AT LEAST the GS1000, HP-2 and HD600/Cardas! I don't blame you on the Scout and I am not about to bring my Aries 3. Of course, I am already a believer!

Going to be there for sure but not so sure I'll make it right at 10 AM, maybe a few hours later. My Saturday mornings are usually occupied, but I'll see what I can do about that - since I just moved here I could probably make an exception.

I'll definitely bring these:
- ATH-AD2000, 2005 DT880, and SR225

- AE-1, NKK-01, and Cayin HA-1A

- Arcam CD73
- Asus Z71V laptop with 2006 Bithead Clear (9 GB of mostly trip-hop muzak!)

- Blue Dragon 10' (mini-terminated)
- Signal Cable Analog Two, Silver Analog, Analog Mini, and Silver Mini (2) ICs
- Quail 5' power cord

If anyone wants me to bring something else from my stash let me know.

I might be convinced to bring my perfectly acceptable Dual TT and my perfectly sublime XR10-B phono stage. We shall see...

I see myself in the attendee's list, but i'm not sure if the gs-1000 listed is mine or rob's, or if that mpx3 is mine or not...so just for safe measure:

I'll be bringing:
GS-1000
Edit(added): hf-1
MPX3 Slam SE

Edit: will throw my portable amp in there as well
Xin Supermini III w/ ad8656 op amp

If by some miracle my storm d02a arrives by then, then i'll be bringing it as well but chances are slim to none.

Also, I will be needing a ride from Berkeley Please. Rob maybe?

So we couldn't wait until next year's Annual could we?

I'll likely have my ES-1 by then. Would be cool to get some comments on the ES-1/HEV90 differences. *IF* I did come, I *might* consider (with help/convincing) to bring some of the following (but likely only one or two items):

===
EMM Labs DCC2/CDSD

ES-1 (if I have it, but probably, it's already been a month)
HEV90

HE90
HE60

Virtual Dynamics Revelation 1M XLR
Virtual Dynamics Master 2M RCA
===

I have to see if I'm not celebrating the Indian Festival of Lights that day (Indian New Year called Diwali).
