wasn't johnny rotten in like a gross new-wave band in the 80's? I remember seeing the music video and recognizing johnny rotten prancing around in a ridiculously colorful costume. it was dirty. know what i'm talking about?

that was probably Public Image Ltd., who's first incarnation produced a wealth of great, experimental, and challenging post-punk music. their first four albums are a must. their second incarnation is a bit more questionable as they veered away from experimenting to accessible dance-rock.

anyhoo... i can totally agree that the demo version of "Anarchy in the UK" that appears on Swindle is eons better than the studio version.
