I currently own a little Icon Mobile that I use for home use as a dac/amp (uDac was out of stock everywhere at the time). My problem is my onboard USB ports can be VERY noisy, a high pitched squeal to be exact. Sometimes it's not so bad, but other times I can't stand listening to tracks that have quiet parts in them.
So I feel that buying a PCI-E USB card will solve this problem, but I'd figure I'd ask before I do so, because I would be disappointed to buy one and encounter the same hiss or even a different noise.
What do you guys think? Any simpler solutions? I know it's not the DAC
