I can't believe this is happening.

Very sad for the victims and their families. I just hope this wasn't another texting incident. That stuff has gotten way out of hand.

Crazy incident indeed; curious as to what the cause will turn out to be.

I live in DC and ride the Red Line every day -- perhaps the only Head-Fi'er in that category. Never before 6 or 7pm though, so I escaped today's carnage.

No, I also ride the Red Line pretty much everyday. Luckily I'll be able to avoid it tomorrow. It did ride it today, however. Hope the families are well.

I read about this earlier today. Very sad. I hope they figure out the cause and it was not the conductor at fault. I'm sorry for those that died but glad it wasn't more.

I ride it from New York Ave to Ft Totten and transfer to the green to Greenbelt to get to BWI a few times a month. Sure glad I wasn't riding today.

My peers consider me paranoid for always wanting to ride in the middle cars, and this is why.

there was a train derail right by my house in Chicago i would say a few weeks back..not even sure if it made the news but all the track crossings where closed and police and fire where going crazy. then there was one in rockford iLL sometime this week also..

The toll is up to seven now. So sad.

In other news, the green line was effectively empty this morning. People are either worried about delays or terrified to ride.
