Hi there,

I'm new to this forum so I will make a small presentation.

My name is Frederico, I'm from Portugal and I have 25 years old.

I need help from you guys because you have more experience than I.

I have for headphones Sennheiser HD598, a friend told me that they are good and indeed they are, I like them.

My main hobby is playing games (mainly Battlefield 4) and view some movies and listen to some music.

My question is, do I need a DAC/AMP or a Soundcard for proper virtual surround in games? What "setup" of this things do you guys recommend?

I'm using the sound from the motherboard (Asus Maximus VII Hero but I do not like it very much).

Thanks for the help,

Creative Labs Sound Blaster Z sound card.
Remember to disable the motherboard's on-board audio, in the BIOS, before installing an add-on internal sound card and it's software.
