I bought a pair of these recently, and they're amazing.

My friend (who had the gold ones which are now out of stock), let me try them on and I loved them. He had this "amplifier" of sorts that was also hooked up to the headphones which made everything louder. What is this and where can I get them for my model?

Also, how do I boost the bass on my headphones, the EQ settings?

Was it a fiio product? Im guessing your friend may have had a portable amp. As for eq, theres stuff u can download for ur pc but sometimes amps do include these options such as treble bass and channel balance. (Useful with uneven hearing)

Wouldn't it be better to ask your friend what he let you used for his headphones then we can help you further.

Well google is definitely your best friend for simple questions. Fiio is a brand that produce affordable amps and dacs (digital to analog converters).
