So I'm about to set up a somewhat simple sound system at home, mainly for music but also for movies and gaming. This is my first time in doing so and would like to know if this sounds like it would work or if I should change anything.

Units:
Desktop
2.0 Bose Companion 20 active computer speakers
2.1 Logitech Z623 active computer speakers
Nuforce HDP (Preamp/DAC/Amp)

Simple drawing of how I plan to connect everything:

(tried to add in in the post but I got an error message: "There was a problem submitting this to the server. Please try again".)

So the computer is the only source, which takes the audio signal to the Nuforce HDP where I'll put a pair of splitters on the RCA-output. The signal will then go to both speakers. I'll only use one speaker system at a time. Would this work?

Few concerns I have myself:

*The image from the computer to the TV (where the 2.1 speakers are) is sent straight through a HDMI. If I would send the audio through the Nuforce HDT to the speakers and the image straight through digitally, would there be sync issues? If so, any way to get around it?
Image: Computer -(HDMI)-> TV
Audio: Computer-(USB)-> Nuforce HDP (Preamp/amp/DAC) -(RCA)-> Speakers

*Would the RCA-splitters decrease the sound quality? As mentioned, I will only use one sound system at a time.

Really appreciate your help :)
