setbacks on my first project(cmoy)

hello i am building a cmoy amp for a project in my highschool physics class. i have just received my order from digikey, and got everything i need, except a Potentiometer. i just seemed to missed it when i was placing my order. there is a radioshack about a block from my house, and when looking at there potentiometers, they are all about 3 inches long and about 2 inches in diameter (obviously to big for my project). they do have one item that seems to be the right size,here but i was looking through the forums, and found this here so that ultimately destroys my plan of doing the project. unless someone would be helpful enough to sell me a pot or even better give me a spare one. i know this is my first post so i dont have much of a reputation, but im a really nice guy, who just overlooks some things.

if you can think of any other stores that might carry components please tell me, like hardware stores im in the cleveland area is that helps locate anything

If you don't have any qualms about ordering, mouser.com doesn't have a minimum order. Plus, if you post your question in the DIY forums, you're likely to get much more help.

thanks alot, i coulda swore this was in the diy my bad. stupid mozilla firefox and its dozens of tabs going on at once this does seem like a very friendly and helpful place, much nicer than the car audio, and gamer forums i belong to.
