Meet in Lawrence, KS Saturday, September 15th, 1 pm – whatever


Looking forward to seeing both familiar and new faces here in Lawrence, KS, just 40 miles or so west of Kansas City. Over the next several days, I will PM the folks who have expressed interest. If you are interested in coming, please PM me and I will send you the details and directions.

I’ll have a cooler here with ice and some refreshments. Feel free to bring stuff to put in the cooler (both A and NA). If you are coming, post up what gear you will be bringing. My stash is in my sig.

This will be our 6th area meet, 5th here in Lawrence!

I have missed the last three, but I will be making this one for sure.

Toshiba Gigabeat with 60 gigs of Wma lossless

If anyone would like me to bring any of these just say so.
Denon 5900 Universal player (great for a/b comparsions has two front outputs)
Denon cdr w1500 (great for making bit to bit copies of music, also has Headphone output)
Cables-Tons of Monster Z and Tara Labs .

I had a idea come to my mind the other day. If everyone coming would bring a cd that they would choose to show off their gear, I could take their song of choice and make a compilation disc with everybodys songs, a Lawrence Can-Test Disc. I would make a copy for everyone that would donate a song. Let me know if this sounds good.

How many people are you expecting?

Hard to say. I know both Lazarus Short and Earjam never miss a meet, and some other new folks like yourself have been in contact about coming over. We never know until the day arrives, however. I would guess maybe 6-7 judging by the response so far, but maybe more??

I think I have decided to bring my Denon 5900. Bill I would like to compare it to your Boulder/Denon combo.

That will be interesting. There is also a pretty good DAC in my Alesis digital EQ as well.

Laz has an older X-Can amp that he brings, not sure which model.

Looking forward to all of the folks and gear next Saturday. I will have some Stax Omega IIs here for us to play with as well now, just bought them from HeadFier Hirsch, should be here in a couple of days.
