Ive had my Sennheiser IE80s for about a month and have just started to notice the right earphone is starting to become quieter and was wondering what could cause it. I bought the earphones off eBay and they are genuine but dont know what I would need regarding the warranty if they are broken.

You will need a copy of a receipt from an authorized dealer - if you bought from ebay and they are legit - a copy of a receipt shouldn't be too hard to rustle up.

Yeh I'm trying to get in contact now, could it be something as simple as a replacement wire or is it more likely to be worse than that?

Is there any way one of the tubes is blocked? Does the sound come in and out when you pull on the wire? - Have you tried to disconnect the wire then reconnect? Also - switch wires and see if the other one sounds lower - just a couple of things to isolate the problem.

I'm not sure the tubes can get blocked with these earphones? I just rotated the wires over that didnt solve the problem and it is'nt intermittent.

Is there wax build up on the wax guard of the right earbud? This might be the cause.
