I'll be moving to Germany shortly, and I was just wondering if the Senn's (the HD650 model) can be purchased cheaper in US or in Germany.

Going by Meier Audio's pricing on HD650's, they may be cheaper here in the US than in Germany.

one of the many reasons because I'm sad going back to Europe is the shopping. In Europe all is so expensive, and they put so many problems to the importation from the US

I paid 249 euro (+shipping) for my HD-650. Bought them from Germany.

Here in Sweden (one of the more expensive countries in Europe) you can get them new for 280€ + shipping.

I think Australia takes the cake for overpricing Senns.

For the HD650 you would be looking at $750+AUD. Cortes i know that doesn't answer your question, but it should at least make you feel better about Euro pricing.

Currently Senns aren't too much more expensive in the US compared to Germany (rock-bottom pricing for the HD555 would be 82,40€ right now, with the 595 at 111,00€, but remember that's including VAT), but this was looking differently in the mid-90s, when exchange rates were quite unfavorable.

Only negative thing about them is that it seems they don't check their email daily, more like every other day.

BTw. I don't understand german one single bit, I went trough their ebay.de pages with the help of babelfish
