With all the money I saved on the 6xx, I decided to spring for this sweet cable from Norne. Draug 2c...
How did I know you would be in on this ; ) Missed you in Nashville.

The ZY cable arrived today, and I have to say the build quality looks pretty good to me, and it also has Nutrik connectors.  The reviews look pretty good as well.  Sure, there are a couple of negative reviews, but we know people are far more likely to add a review upon failure than happiness.  Threads here are pretty positive all things considered.

Totally agree. I did some searching for "Venus Audio" and found some positive things said here and there. While I don't see it in the official forum rules on posting, I've head some mixed things about posting external links on Head-Fi forums (or maybe that's just external links to other forums?) so I won't post the links here.

I think it is just certain forums they don't like. Links to places to buy gear and what not are fine.

Those ZY cables use thin thin wires.

Since I'm not running balanced I think I'm just going to buy a stock 650 cable for the 6XX. I've heard that this is a good quality cable despite looking pretty generic on the outside.

Why wouldn't you just use the cable the 6XX comes with then? Are the stock 650 cables actually better than the stock 6XX ones? Just curious.

You know guys, it has gone a bit too long now, going after danmlr and back and forth. I think It is time now to get back to discussing headphones. This type of online bullying and bashing is not in the spirit of head-fi. It is one of the reasons I stick to these forums, that we have a really polite and friendly atmosphere, and I have seen other forums

. So, lets maintain our reputation, OK. It can get out of hand real fast.

Hear ya...*gallops away enjoying my headphones*

Back to the HD6XX discussion.

I wish the HD6xx came with 1.2m cables terminating in 6.35mm plug, almost like the HD598 SE
It comes with 3.5mm with a 6.3mm adapter.

Me too - great deal on the cable

Nice! The customer service and communication with the seller so far has been great.

I suspect they will be.  They'll probably be more like the cheaper quality HD600 cables than the HD650 cables since that is one of the very few things that Sennheiser changed for this much cheaper version.  Also the included cable is very short compared to the stock HD650.

Wow, these look great. Did you guys go for the Neutrik or Eidolic source term? The Neutrik is cheaper, but the Eidolic looks cooler (IMHO)...

Went with the Eidolic. She contacted me to make sure I ordered the right color cables, which I thought was pretty nice.
