I was wondering how quickly are these likely to go, based on previous drops. In my zone, the drop starts at 6AM. Is it important to wake up and place order at that time? If I wait a couple of hours, is there a risk that all of them will be sold?

Hey what's up everyone , Been trying to decide between the 650 & 700 but at $200 I think I might just pull the trigger on the 650 . Comfort is a biggie for me , I hate headphones that clamp down on your head like a vise grip (ex. Beats) . How comfortable are the 650's ? Anyone think it's worth paying the premium for the 700's over the 650's ? These would be my first open back headphones , been using a pair of shure se535's with a FiiO amp for last couple of years . Thanks in advance for your replies !

on the 650 mods for more clarity/punchier bass:
is it easy to do oneself...or best to send off to someone reputable on here to tweak it?
i also have the sony mdr 7520 closed cans.

The HD700 which I no longer own were the most comfortable full size cans I have ever owned. The HD650 which I owned on 2 other occasions and from memory are not as comfortable and the clamp force is tighter then the 700. I don't consider my head big either, but like some have mentioned on this same thread you can adjust the 650 some to help with the clamp force.

Hmm... now worried about signal strength at my polling place tomorrow morning... What's more important, the future of the U.S. or cool custom HD 650s for $200?!

Presidents come and go ... the 650s will stay with you forever!

Polls are open late, but don't leave our country in the balance.

I'd be happier with a pair of HD6XX's than any of the two other main choices tomorrow...

maybe closed headphones tomorrow to drown everything and one out however?   going to put my DT770's on and not take them off for the next 4yrs perhaps.

anyways... the belief is these will sell out pretty quickly?  minutes / hours?

Who knows, but I'm sure we'll be testing MassDrop's load-balancing architecture!

I can agree with this. The most comfortable headphones out of the box without modding I have tried are the hd800, hd700, and akg k601

I want to upgrade my HD6xx cable (assuming I get a order in before they sell out), 3.5mm is yucky, I want a 6.3mm end, can anyone recommend me something quality under $50-60? Preferably like $30 shipped. I don't care about XLR just yet.

I paid the full price for my HD 650s just recently. This makes me sad :frowning2:
Also, do you guys find the 650s grainy? I mean the grain is not presented harshly but rather smoothly. But it is there. You can pick it up on vocals.
