Hello everyone. I have been looking into a good pair of headphones for quite some time now and finally settled on some PXC 450's! I believe I have made a terrible mistake.
My reasons for these headphones were that I wanted something for travel and libraries in college. Something that could give a great sound but isn't open back. After a good deal of research I got these over the Bose QC3's. But there is a constant ticking in the right ear no matter what source my phones are plugged into it. I mostly use a smartphone (I know, not ideal for audiophiles, but it's all I have) just today they won't play anything in "normal mode" whether or not noise canceling is on. Are all of their headphones this terrible? I work for best buy currently and my boss said I can return them since its out of the return date but I did get geek squad on them. I just feel so let down from a pair of nearly $400, headphones. Should I try a different pair of PXC450's sourced from another store (maybe different batch build) or just give up and go for Bose?
