Hi,

I currently have a pair of Sennheiser PX 100, but am interested in getting a set of canalphones.

Does anyone know how the Shure E2s compare audio wise?

Own both and listened to both on the exact same portable source. All I can say is that the E2cs are on a different level altogether (makes sense, the price of E2c is like 2+ times more than the PX100).

While the PX100 are extremely fun phone (in fact, I'll take them if I only have budget for that), I like my E2cs better (especially for vocals).

The Shure sound is a lot more forward than the PX-100's....and a bit duller sounding.

I have both, but I rarely use the e2. I just enjoy the PX100 sound so much more. I really don't like the e2 rolled-off highs.
