Sennheiser PMX 100

3 months ago i got these pmx100. At first, i was a bit confused, because their highs sounded too loud and crisp, so i felt some pain in ears/head. Moreover, they seemed uncomfortable because their hard foam pads. I tried to soften them as mentioned on some Grado topics, with no success. Then, i gave them time and after 24h burn-in + ~20h of listening i felt them more comfortable (the pads loose their hardness, or i just used to them). Head pain has gone, and i enjoyed music, till the moment i found their sounding changed (a week ago). There were no more crisp highs and stage in their sound. Today i tried to compare them to my old hd565, and found wire that comes out from headphones (thick one) broken. Arghh, what a bad luck.
Currently i'm thinking about recabling them (or just cutting the broken part of wire)... And... i still love them. Their soundstage is amazing for their size.

Any ideas where to get better cable for them?

amazon.com has listed them as of 12/25ish or so, and a distributor we use at work here has them listed as coming in late jan. so i'd think they should be soon....

Speaking of upcoming products, any word on the grado streetsyles either - would be quite a showdown between these two.
