Hello Head-Fi community,

I'm quite an avid gamer and quite a noobie in sound which was what drew me towards the Sennheiser PC350, after reading quite a bit, I've come to realize that there were better options but its quite too late for me to buy nice new set of headsets.

With that being said, would it be possible to improve my setup? When I first was going to buy my PC350 I thought buying a decent sound card would be enough for my new headset, so I bought a HT Striker 7.1. But recently I've been wondering if I should spend some money on a amp, as the HT Striker 7.1 does not have a amp inside, and the Sennheiser PC350 have a 150 impedence rating. My question is would buying a new amp improve my sound setup? Would it be worth it to be getting the more expensive amps? ($100+) or would just buying the cheap Cmoy or Fiio amps be enough to improve it?

Thanks in advanced.

The PAV2V (Pocket Amplifier 2 Version 2), is around $60 on eBay.
The PAV2V can plug into the Striker and the PC350 into the PAV2V.

The PC350 uses the same drivers as the 555 just to add.

So I'd assume what ever amp that suits the 555/595 should be good for these. I'd go with a Astro Mixamp due to the extra convenience.

I didn't want to go with these "portable amps" because I'm not looking to walk around with them so having to charge my battery or having to eventually replace my battery isn't something I really want to do in the future.

The PAV2V can work off AC.
