Hard to say without a direct A/B comparison to the ones you call out, but I heard the original Orpheus back in the day at the Headroom HQ along with a number of the other high-end headphones they had on the shelf at the time. The Orpheus was great, but not multiples better as the price might have implied.

I had the HE90 but use on BHSE. I heard it is not the great match from the others' reviews. Very curious how the sound would be if pair with HEV90 or Aristaeus. Overall the sound is satisfying and not a huge jump from the headphones I owned before

I heard the Orpheus in the CES 10 years ago - source was a turntable playing Chris Jones' "No Sanctuary Here". They sounded magical - but (a) I did not do any A/B testing and (b) I am sure just looking at the amplifier and the headphones elevated the experience. Since then I have used a number of different headphones and ended us setting on a pair of bass-lite MDR-10s - which in a good evening sound just as magical
