Sound is a bit hard to go on, but I will say that Beyer definitely makes better built headphones than Sennheiser in general, or on average, what with stalwarts like the DT770/880/990, DT100/150 and DT250.

I'm glad to see this thread being taken um... 'lightly'. I'm getting tired of all the grudge-matching too. This place is supposed to be a community of like minded hobbyists, not elementary students with penchants for food fights. I hear the argument that we are just 'justifying our large purchase to ourselves' but come on... Headphones as a hobby is easily the CHEAPEST AUDIOPHILE HOBBY in existence. Guide those in search of their preferred sound, and discuss your sound once youve found it... But don't throw food.

In my opinion beyerdynamic makes better headphones. The build quality seems to be a bit better. And most of them are made in Germany.

I guess there was a poll some time ago about whitch headphone manufacturer people liked the most. Could be hard to find, but if I don't remember wrong sennheiser come out at first place. So sennheiser is best
