Sennheiser MX880 or AKG K319 or AT CM700?

Not much info about the Senn's or AKG's, but from what I've gathered they both seem to be up there with the best in the price range. Alternatively, there's the AT CM700 which are £5 over my budget but if they're better than the two in the title, then I'd consider them.

So, how do the two sound? Which would go better with a Cowon S9?

Or if anyone has any other non-IEM recommendations, I have a £50/$80 budget and I can only buy from Amazon.co.uk: Low Prices in Electronics, Books, Sports Equipment & more

Cheers

I bought the CM700s. I'm definitely not a basshead.

But I've read far too many good things about the CM700s here, and too little about the the other two so it was an obvious choice in the end. Though, the AKG's did get a glowing review from a few dudes here. I guess I can try those next time.

cm700 is lack of bass, if you love bass frequency or basshead, then you must avoid it

Well, CM700 does not lack in the bass department - not at all. In fact, it has the best bass quality of any earbud I've heard so far, and better bass than most IEMs too. The bass is really, really fast, detailed, tight and very deep, and the quantity is neutral. The bass quality and quantity is sufficient for all types of music, unless you are: 1. a basshead in the sense that you don't understand what accurate low end is supposed to sound like, or you have hearing loss in the low registers; 2. you can't get a good fit, which admittedly is not easy to get with CM700, especially for those with smaller ears; 3. you are trying to run CM700 out of a really weak source and I mean the crappiest of crappy MP3 player.

CM700 is very sensitive so it will run fine with all but the weakest portables.

Good choice. They are definitely one of the best earbuds out there and a great deal at the current prices on ebay. If the sound signature will seem too cold and analytical to you, or you won't be able to get a good fit, then I recommend saving up for a Yuin PK1 - a very fun sounding earbud with slightly less bass precision than CM700, but still very high quality by earbud standards. PK1 also has sweeter mids and a better extended treble.

Well, you should've explained what you meant then. And like I said in my previous post, I don't think it lacks bass quantity either unless there's something wrong with your fit, ears, source or expectations.

no problem if you think it is not lack of bass quantity, but for me it is lack of bass quantity, its not strange in audiophile that we have different oppinion.
i have many experience with many brand of earbuds, and i do believe what i hear

I have a general idea about the Audio Technica sound. I had AD700s for quite a while and really liked them - if they're anything like that then I'll like the CM700s. I'd love to try some Yuin's, but they weren't on amazon so I couldn't get them this time around.

I would say you can try both K 319 and MX 880 next time.
Both sound great for the price you will have to pay for them.
I like and enjoy them both :-)
And I think they are on a comparable level of sound quality.
K 319 sounds a little more full and rich and MX 880 reproduces human voices a little more natural in my ears.
