Hi I have the Sennheiser momentum over the ear headphones (v1). I wanted to use them for skype calls on my computer so I bought a Y-splitter cable (since computer has separate port for mic and headphone)
When I plug my headphones into the Y splitter, I can only hear audio, but the mic doesn't work.
WHen I tried with another set of ear phones (cheap earbuds that came with my smartphone that also has mic) they work fine, I can hear audio and my mic works. So the Y Splitter is working fine.
I used my Sennheiser on my Mac laptop before for skype calls and it works fine.
Is there something different about the Sennhwiser headphone jack? And is there an adapter that can make the microphone work more universally, not just on select smartphones and Apple products?
