Haven't received the IE800, so I ordered them today again. Gonna post some pictures when they arrive to check authenticity.
Off-topic: Anyone speaks French here? I need some practice. Reached my B2 level in French. I can help you practice English. Also, send you some IEMs that I no longer use.
Send me a message here or email at ivanthetraveller2@gmail.com.
Thanks in advance.

Have any IE800(s) owners purchased the new IE900 and can give a comparison?

I only have the IE800, but I believe the answer is that the IE800 is awesome and the IE900 is awesomer.Have any IE800(s) owners purchased the new IE900 and can give a comparison?
Haven´t hearded the IE900, but i´m using the 800 with the Luxury W2 and my iphone. i like this combination. the fit is nearly perfect with the stock medium tips. i also try the comply foams, but the stock ones sound better to me.
i thought about to switch to the 800s, but i think i will stay with the 800. maybe i will give them a try when i get my hands on some used one.

You are lucky for stock tips works for you, I am struggling with it for past five years and could not find a fit. IE800 with stock tips has unique and special soundstange like non other IEM offer.
if stock tips did work for me, IE800 would have been only IEM for me.

does defects filter on IE800 affect sound quality?

I don't want to think about how that happened

I bought a used ie800. I found the metal filter to have a few defects to it. but the sound quality is very good. Bass quality is the best I have ever heard. Bass quantity in the right amount. Mids are very clear and natural. Treble is energetic and clean. great soundstage and imaging.
From the description of the sound quality I gave. Is it the same as the new IE800?

as long as there isn't any distortion in any frequency, I don't see how that would affect the sound.

i am not good at explaining in more detail in sound quality. That's all I got after using ie800.
