I'm going to buy a pair of IE8's soon and I'm curious about how durable these guys are. I'm guessing that they're pretty durable, and shouldn't have any cracking cables like my shure e2c's.

They're physically very durable and resilient. Recently some issues have came up with certain units having volume deficiencies developing in one channel (due to clogged grills or something), so make sure you get yours from an authorized dealer to take advantage of the two-year warranty.

also don't change the tips too much, there r quiet a few cases where the tips break off due to using tips other then the standard ones that it comes with
